환경 회화전 - 김재종, 백은하, 윤소연

김재종, 백은하, 윤소연 작가와 함께 3인전으로 기획된 이번 전시는 멸종위기 동물과 과소비에 대한 경고, 그리고 자연과 인간과의 공존을 이야기하는 다채로운 작품을 선보인다.

김재종 작가는 인간과 자연의 공존을 유화로 표현한다. 기존의 구성에서 초현실적화법으로 변화하며 나무, 꽃, 동물, 하늘 자연의 구성물들은 그림 안에서 생명력을 가지고 각자의 모습으로 또는 변형된 모습으로 자신을 소개한다. 그들의 다양성은 그림 속 공간에서 확장되어 새로운 세상을 만들며 인간과 함께 공존하는 길을 제시한다. 

백은하 작가는 현대 사회에서 동물이 단순한 도구로 전락하는 현실 속에 우리가 잃어버리는 것이 단지 동물의 삶뿐 아니라 우리의 인간다움 자체일 수 있다고 비판한다. 작가는 천과 실이라는 친숙한 소재를 통해 동물의 피모를 연상시키며, 따뜻하고 부드러운 속성의 힘을 빌어 오랜 시간 쌓인 온기와 자연의 흐름을 작품에 담아낸다.

윤소연 작가는 대수롭지 않은 일상을 화면에 담는 작업을 시작으로, 익숙한 공간과 사물들을 정물화로 표현해왔다. 그 과정에서 멈춰진 일상이 때로는 움직이는 듯 보이기도 하고, 무대처럼 변하기도 했다. 최근에는 사진을 재구성하여 새로운 방식으로 일상을 구현하며, 종이상자나 종이가방을 통해 또 다른 일상을 만들어낸다.

단순히 관람을 위한 작품이 아닌 그 안에 각각의 특별한 의미를 담고 인간과 사회에게 메시지를 전하는 작품들로 구성된 헤드비갤러리의 전시를 통해 환경에 대해 다시금 생각하고 이를 위해 사회의 구성원으로서 할 수 있는 일에 대해 고민해보는 계기가 되길 바란다. 

This group exhibition, curated in collaboration with artists Jaejong Kim, Eunha Baek, and Soyoun Yoon, presents a diverse collection of works that raise awareness about endangered species, overconsumption, and the coexistence of nature and humanity.

Jaejong Kim portrays the harmony between humans and nature through oil painting. Shifting from traditional compositions to a surrealistic approach, elements of nature — such as trees, flowers, animals, and the sky — come alive within the canvas, introducing themselves in both their natural and transformed forms. Their diversity expands across the painted space, suggesting a new world where coexistence with humans becomes possible.

Eunha Baek critiques the reality in which animals are reduced to mere tools in modern society, warning that what we lose may not only be animal lives, but our very sense of humanity. Through the familiar materials of fabric and thread, reminiscent of animal fur, she channels warmth, softness, and the quiet strength of nature’s rhythms and time, embedding these qualities into her work.

Soyoun Yoon began by capturing the simplicity of everyday life on canvas, painting still lifes of familiar spaces and objects. In this process, frozen moments sometimes appear to move, transforming into theatrical stages. Recently, she has begun reconstructing photographs to reimagine daily life in new ways, creating alternative narratives using cardboard boxes and paper bags.

Rather than mere visual appreciation, the works in this exhibition carry unique messages that invite viewers to reflect on the environment and consider what we, as members of society, can do to protect and sustain it. We hope this exhibition becomes a meaningful opportunity for contemplation and action.
