《P-RE VIEW》는 과거의 시선을 되짚고, 다가올 가능성을 탐색하는 시도다. 이번 전시는 지금까지 헤드비갤러리와 함께한 작가들의 작업을 다시 살펴보고(Review), 새롭게 주목할 작가들의 예술세계를 미리 조망(Preview)하는 이중적 시간 속에 놓여 있다.

강지연, 김병구, 안토니오, 이예림 작가는 지난 시간 동안 헤드비갤러리를 통해 자신만의 조형 언어를 공고히 해온 작가들로, 이번 전시를 통해 그 예술적 연속성과 확장성을 다시금 확인할 수 있다. 동시에 서영재, 이미혜, 이현진, 이효연 작가의 작업은 향후 갤러리가 주목하고자 하는 동시대 미술의 방향성을 가늠케 하는 창의적 시도들로 구성되어, 새로운 감각과 실험성을 제안한다. 각 작가의 세계는 형식과 재료, 감각과 관점의 차이를 전제로 하면서도, 동시대를 살아가는 예술가로서 삶과 사회를 관통하는 예민한 시선과 밀도 높은 내면성을 공유한다. 회화, 조형, 영상 등 다양한 매체를 아우르는 이번 전시는 개별 작가의 내면적 탐색이 하나의 시공간 안에서 조응하며, 동시대 미술의 다양한 흐름을 입체적으로 제시한다.

《P-RE VIEW》는 단순히 과거를 되돌아보는 회고이자 미래를 예측하는 전망에 머물지 않는다. 지금 이 시점에서 우리가 주목해야 할 예술의 언어를 제시하고, 미술을 통해 인간의 감각과 사유가 어떻게 연결될 수 있는지를 성찰하게 한다.

P-RE VIEW is a dual-layered exhibition that both retraces past perspectives and explores future possibilities. Positioned between review and preview, the exhibition reflects on the evolving trajectories of artists who have worked with Hedwig Gallery over the years, while simultaneously offering a forward-looking glimpse into the practices of emerging voices in contemporary art.

Artists Jiyeon Kang, Byungkoo Kim, Antonio, and Yerim Lee have each established their own distinct visual languages through their ongoing collaborations with Hedwig Gallery. Their works in this exhibition reaffirm their artistic continuity and the potential for further expansion. In parallel, the works of Youngjae Seo, Mihae Lee, Hyunjin Lee, and Hyoyoun Lee represent the gallery’s commitment to engaging with the next wave of creative visionaries. These artists introduce experimental approaches and fresh sensibilities that hint at the future directions of contemporary art.

Despite differences in medium, material, perspective, and form, all participating artists share a heightened awareness of the world around them and an introspective depth reflective of the times we live in. Whether through painting, sculpture, or video, their works resonate with one another in a shared space—interweaving individual exploration with collective reflection. The exhibition presents a multifaceted portrait of contemporary artistic currents through this dynamic dialogue.

P-RE VIEW is not merely a retrospective or a forecast—it is a meditation on the language of art in the here and now. It invites viewers to consider which voices and visions merit attention today, and how art continues to serve as a conduit for human perception and thought across time.
