시지각의 경계를 확장하고, 감정과 공간 사이의 관계를 사유하는 두 작가 박발륜과 정진아의 작업이 하나의 장(場)을 형성한다. 화면 속에 구축된 그들의 조형 언어는 각기 다른 시간성을 품은 시선으로, 예술이 현실을 어떻게 다시 감각하게 만드는지를 묻는다. 이번 전시는 감각의 확장을 시도하는 서로 다른 조형적 접근을 통해, 현실 인식의 틈을 열고 예술이 사유와 감정의 지형을 어떻게 확장할 수 있는지를 성찰하는 기회를 제시한다.

박발륜 작가는 오랜 시간 동안 공간, 시간, 인식의 경계에 대한 탐구를 시지각의 전환을 통해 시각화해왔다. 작가가 구축한 공간은 원근법에 기초하지만, 그것은 환영적 재현이 아닌 추상화된 선과 단순화된 형태로 표현되며, 낯선 시점에서의 공간 인식을 유도한다. 화면 속 생략과 여백은 의도적인 비어있음을 통해 관람자의 내면을 호출하며, 해석의 여지를 열어둔다. 이는 고정된 메시지를 전달하기보다, 관람자 각자의 시간성과 감각을 끌어내는 열린 조형 구조로 작동한다.

정진아 작가는 아름다운 자연의 순환적 질서 속에서 심리적 카타르시스를 유도하는 독창적인 조형 세계를 구현해내고자 한다.
작업은 시각적 아름다움에 머무르지 않고 존재와 세계에 대한 내면적 성찰로 이어지며, 특히 ‘양가성’이라는 개념을 통해 이분법적 가치 판단의 틀에서 벗어나려는 태도를 견지한다.
사물과 현상을 가능한 한 가치중립적으로 바라보려는 시선은, 고정된 미적 관념과 관습적 해석을 해체하고 그 너머의 세계를 사유하게 한다.
조형 언어는 단지 표현의 수단을 넘어, 작가 자신과 타인의 감정을 매개하는 일종의 사유 장치로 전환시킨다.

박발륜과 정진아, 두 작가는 2000년대부터 공공예술 활동을 병행하며 일상과 예술, 사회와 개인의 접점을 탐색해온 실천적 예술가이기도 하다. 두 작가의 작품은 조형 형식의 실험을 넘어서, 시지각의 확장과 감정의 층위를 호출하는 예술의 본질적 가능성을 환기시킨다. 《Timeless Moment》는 두 작가의 서로 다른 시선과 미학이 맞닿는 지점에서, 예술이 현실의 감각을 어떻게 재구성할 수 있는지를 사유하게 한다.

《Timeless Moment》 brings together the works of Ballon Park and Jina Chung — two artists who expand the boundaries of visual perception and reflect deeply on the relationship between emotion and space. Within their constructed visual languages, time unfolds differently in each gaze, posing the question: how can art reawaken our senses to the reality we think we know? Through distinct yet converging approaches, this exhibition opens up perceptual gaps in our understanding of the real and invites reflection on how art can reshape the emotional and conceptual landscape of our lives.

Ballon Park has long explored the edges of space, time, and perception by provoking shifts in visual awareness. Although his constructed spaces are grounded in perspective, they are not illusions of reality but abstractions — simplified forms and lines that disrupt familiar spatial logic. Through intentional omission and emptiness, he evokes introspection and leaves room for interpretation. His compositions function as open structures that draw out each viewer’s own temporality and sensory response, rather than imposing a fixed message.

Jina Chung seeks to create a sculptural world that invites psychological catharsis through the cyclical order of nature. Her work extends beyond surface beauty, evolving into an internal reflection on existence and the world. Central to her approach is the concept of ambiguity, which challenges binary systems of value. Her neutral, nonjudgmental gaze disassembles conventional aesthetics and prompts contemplation of what lies beyond them. In her hands, form becomes more than a vehicle for expression — it transforms into a philosophical device that mediates emotion, both personal and collective.

Since the early 2000s, both artists have also been engaged in public art practices, exploring the intersections between daily life and art, society and the individual. Their work transcends formal experimentation, reigniting the fundamental role of art: to expand perception and awaken deeper emotional layers.

At the convergence of their differing visions and aesthetics, 《Timeless Moment》 prompts us to reflect on how art might reconfigure our experience of the real — and offer new ways of sensing, feeling, and understanding the world around us.
