신인작가부터 활발히 활동을 하는 작가, 그리고 2차원의 회화부터 3차원의 설치 작품까지 다양한 장르로 구성한 헤드비갤러리의 전시는 장르간 융합이 활발하고 재료와 표현 방법의 경계가 넓어진 현대미술의 현장을 잘 보여주었다는 평가를 받는다. 대중에게 낯설 수 있는 장르의 작품을 소개한 것은 헤드비갤러리를 오가는 관객과 주민의 미적 감응력이 그만큼 높았기에 가능한 일이었다. 한 해 동안 많은 이들이 보내온 사랑에 답하고자 2019년을 헤드비갤러리와 함께 한 작가, 그리고 2020년에 함께 할 작가를 한자리에 모았다.

‘잇다’ 전시로 작가 김순철, 배수영, 최지윤, Zoey를 재조명하고 새해에 소개하고자 하는 작가 강지연, 손정기, 이해나의 작품을 함께 전시하여 본 전시를 보는 관객에게는 지난해 아쉽게 지나친 전시의 작품을 다시 접하고 새로운 작가를 만날 수 있는 기쁨의 자리이길 바란다.

　The exhibition of the Hedwig Gallery, which consists of various genres ranging from new artists to active artists and two-dimensional paintings to three-dimensional installation works, is said to have shown the scene of contemporary art, where convergence between genres is active and the boundaries between materials and expression methods are widened. Introducing works of genres that may be unfamiliar to the public was possible because the aesthetic sensitivity of the audience and residents to and from the Hedwig Gallery was so high. To answer the love sent by many people throughout the year, we brought together writers who spent 2019 with the Hedwig Gallery and who will be with us in 2020.

    We hope that the exhibition, which re-examines artists Kim Soon-cheol, Bae Soo-young, Choi Ji-yoon, and Zoey and exhibits the works of artists Kang Ji-yeon, Son Jung-ki, and Lee Hae-na together to introduce them in the New Year, will be a joy to see the works of last year's unfortunately excessive exhibition again and meet new artists.
