이효연 작가는 인물화부터 풍경화까지 다양한 시도를 삼아 광활한 몽상적인 풍경을 담는다. 현실에 존재하는 장소인 듯, 비현실적인 공간을 현실적으로 재현하는 듯 그려낸다. 특정하지 않는 장소에서 어디선가 본 듯한 식물이 나타나며, 작가가 은유적으로 드러낸 공간에서 날씨와 환경의 변화와 상관없이 같은 공간에서 살아간다. 그럼에도 불구하고 함께일 수 있다는 것은 작품에 주제이자, 작가의 삶에 위로가 되는 것이다. 서로가 서로에게 긍정적이며, 믿음을 주고, 유쾌하게 지지하길 바란다. 작가가 선택한 작은 오브제는 거대한 풍경 속의 점 같은 존재이지만, 화면에서 웃음과 미소를 짓게 하기를, 과정 속 여유를 가지기를 바라는 작가의 소망이다. 서로 다르고, 살아감에 정답이 없고, 질문도 하나가 아니다. 기포가 올라오듯 조금씩 품어왔던 의심들을, 한 번도 의심하지 않던 것을 의심하는 것이 세상을 풍요롭게 만든다는 작가의 가치에서, 진정한 강함은 가볍고 유연함에서 성취될 수 있음으로 온전해진다. 

이흙 작가는 하늘에 존재하는 구름과 함께, 살아가는 사회의 모습, 삶의 궤적을 담아 표현한다. 작가에게 하늘과 구름이란, 일상적-물리적 풍경으로서의 하늘이 아닌 변화무쌍한 모습이다. 작가는 푸른색의 하늘에 양 떼 구름을 그린다. 토끼 구름, 상어 떼 구름, 동심적인 풍선을 담아낸다. 시각화된 동요와 같은 작업은, 작가의 유년 시절 함께했던 구름의 느낌부터 관람자가 느낄 자연스러운 유년의 기억까지 담아낸다. 작가의 하늘과 구름 작업은 일상과 꿈, 한 인간의 욕망과 둘러싸고 있는 사회이며, 부지런하고 가변적인 자연이자 우리의 모습이다. 작품에서는 근엄한 불도, 사나운 상어와 달려가는 삶과 조응하는 개의 이미지마저도 포근하게 유영한다. 결국 모두 삶의 무게를 덜어내고 진실로 쉬어가기를, 세상에 대한 관용과 화해를, 그리고 다시 희망을 발견하기를 소망한다. 다시, 무심한 듯 구름이 흘러간다. 이제 구름이 흘러가는 시간은 지루한 시간이 아닌, 온전하고 충분히 누린 시간이다.

두 작가는 유연-유영하는 가볍고 여유로운 가치를 작품에 담아낸다. 이효연 작가는 유연한 사고로 성취되는 온전함과 믿음으로 삶의 위로가 되기를, 이흙 작가는 유영하는 구름을 통해 쉬어가고 다시 희망을 발견하기를 바란다. 이번 헤드비갤러리에서 개최하는 이효연, 이흙 작가의 2인전, ‘유연한 유영’으로 삶에서 쉬어가는 시간을 가지고 온전한 시간을 누리길 바란다.

Artist Lee Hyo-yeon captures a vast dreamlike landscape through various attempts, from portrait to landscape painting. It portrays an unrealistic space as if it is a real place. Plants that look like they have seen each other appear in an unspecified place, and live in the same space regardless of changes in the weather and environment in a space metaphorically revealed by the artist. Nevertheless, being together is the subject of the work and comforting the artist's life. We hope that each other will be positive, trustworthy, and cheerfully support each other. The small object chosen by the artist is like a dot in a huge landscape, but it is the artist's wish to have some space in the process to make them smile and smile on the screen. They are different, and there are no correct answers to their lives, and questions are not one. In the artist's value that doubting the doubts that have been held little by little, as bubbles rise, enriches the world, true strength is intact as being achieved from lightness and flexibility. 

This soil artist expresses the appearance of a living society and the trajectory of life along with the clouds that exist in the sky. For the artist, the sky and clouds are not the sky as a daily-physical landscape, but an ever-changing appearance. The artist draws a flock of sheep clouds in a blue sky. Rabbit clouds, shark swarm clouds, and concentric balloons are captured. Works such as visualized nursery rhymes capture the feeling of clouds together by the artist as a child to natural childhood memories that viewers will feel. The artist's work on the sky and clouds is a society surrounding daily life and dreams, a human desire, and a diligent, variable nature and our appearance. In the work, even the image of a dog corresponding to the life of a serious Buddha and a fierce shark is warmly swam. In the end, I hope that everyone will take the weight of their lives and rest to the truth, to find tolerance and reconciliation to the world, and hope again. Again, the cloud flows casually. Now, the time when the cloud passes is not a boring time, but a complete and sufficiently enjoyed time.

The two writers capture the light and relaxed values of flexibility and playfulness in their works. Lee Hyo-yeon hopes that the integrity and faith achieved through flexible thinking will comfort life, while Lee hopes that she will rest through the swimming clouds and discover hope again. Lee Hyo-yeon, Lee So-il's two-person exhibition, and Flexible Walking, which will be held at Hedwig Gallery this time, will help her enjoy a full time of relaxation in her life.
